Seneca Regional Planning Commission and the Seneca County Sewer District Temporarily Close

Seneca Regional Planning Commission and the Seneca County Sewer District will be closed beginning Wednesday August 9th, 2023 to move to a temporary building.
An opening date at the temporary site, 40 Fairlane, Tiffin, OH, has not yet been set. The location will be in the old Tiffin Medical Oncology Building.

The closure was prompted after mold was discovered in ductwork during construction at the health district’s East Perry Street Location.
The Seneca General Health District stated that, according to Laboratory results released Wednesday, the types of molds discovered in the air ducts include Penicillium, Aspergillus, and Cladosporium. These naturally occurring molds are the most common species of fungi found indoors and are not the toxic black mold species.
Remediation of the ductwork through the county-owned building is estimated to take approximately four to eight weeks.
